      The two standard systems MIL-STD and IEC were studied and compared, which were referred by USA nuclear regulatory commission (NRC) regulatory guide RG 1.180. The differences of MIL-STD and IEC in signal characteristic, testing layout, measurement method, and result analysis were discussed starting from RFI radiation susceptibility test. The technical details,result evaluation, and application methods were explained with examples. Technical suggestions on conducting the relevant tests were put forward. The purpose was to provide reference for EMC testing of nuclear power plant equipments.
