Objective Analysis was conducted concerning the basic approaches for missile storage life extension and key techniques awaiting breakthrough. Methods A comprehensive survey was made into the characteristics and difficulties of storage life extension, the major practices of the US and Russia in the field, and the techniques disparity between China and US or Russia in the field. Results The basic technical approaches to storage life extension were put forward, featuring an integration of accelerated storage test, natural storage test, failure analysis and performance upgrading. And the corresponding key techniques around the approaches, including storage life expressing parameters system, storage failure analysis techniques, accelerated storage life test techniques and storage life evaluation techniques were proposed. Conclusion Technical advantage of storage life extension could be formatted by long-term technology research around the selected approaches. |
