| With increasing complexity of battlefield′s electromagnetic environment and application of large amount of electronic devices and electric firing mechanism, modern weapons are increasingly vulnerable. The characteristics of high power EMP and the damage mechanisms of EMP to electronic equipment were introduced. The mathematic models of high power EMP were introduced with the examples of ESD EMP, LEMP, NEMP, HPM, and UWB. Mathematical models of EMP explain the rules of the generation and movement of EMP, which are the preconditions and bases of EMP engineering protection. It was put forward that effective protection can be done under the condition of mastering mathematical rules of EMP. |
